Smart Buildings Energy Engineer

About the role

The position is a hybrid remote/in-office role supporting Siemens' Las Vegas, NV branch. This location serves customers throughout the greater Las Vegas, NV area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct facility site visits and analyze current situations to identify Facility Improvement Measures (FIMs).
• Lead existing building commissioning and perform preliminary and detailed facility audits.
• Assist sales and operations in the development, procurement, and execution of performance contracts.
• Participate in pre-sale activities, identifying and qualifying customer opportunities for energy efficiency.
• Work with Siemens operations teams and vendors to develop FIMs.
• Analyze blueprints and perform site surveys to identify mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Develop energy, cooling, and heating load-building models using building energy simulation programs.
• Prepare financial models including Return on Investment (ROI), life cycle costs, and internal rate of return.
• Collaborate with the Digital Service Team on Smart Building solutions, as part of Siemens' Digitalization Strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy Manager or Professional Engineer certification.
• 3+ years of energy industry experience supporting performance-based projects or energy services.
• Experience with standard ASHRAE energy calculations.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field, Commissioning Professional certification, 7+ Years of experience with Energy industry experiences supporting performance-based projects or energy services.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $61,547- $105,509 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
