Duties And Responsibilities
- Receives and preps the mold for infusion.
- Buff and lay pre-cut fiberglass onto the mold to prepare it for cutting.
- Secures fiberglass and cuts to fit the pre-cut fiberglass to ensure proper distribution and covering of the mold.
- Ensures molds are gel coated properly and ready for infusion.
- Makes sure the part is ready to move on to production.
- Eliminates bubbles in fiberglass once it has been applied.
- Follows instructions of the Supervisor/foreman/lead.
- Uses small hand tools such as scissors, razors, knives, etc.
- Keeps the work area clean and orderly.
- Works with a team to complete daily tasks.
- Lights sands parts when necessary.
- Inspects all parts to ensure they are complete and meet quality standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Education, and Experience
- Be able to drive a forklift.
- Inspect and identify defects or damage to molds.
- Follow instructions of the Supervisor/foreman/lead.
- Be able to wear a respirator.
- Use and maintain small hand tools (grinder, scraper, razor knife, blower, etc).
Physical And Work Requirements
- Work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.
- Bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods.
- Climb into and out of the interior of boats.
- Wear proper safety equipment as needed.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.
- See details at close range.
- Use and maintain small hand tools (grinder, scraper, razor knife, blower, etc).
