Small Engine Technician

About the role

At EquipmentShare, we’re hiring a Tool Technician (Mechanic) at our rental facility in Phoenix, AZ. This role is part of a dynamic team committed to transforming an industry that’s been stuck in the past.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and monitor work orders
• Track machine service intervals
• Order parts
• Diagnose issues using real-time data from hundreds of makes and models
• Work safely and independently on various rental and customer equipment and tools (pneumatic tools, material lifts, chain hoists, core drills, welders, pipe threaders, small engines)
• Maintain paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed
• Aid in the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts
• Stay informed about OSHA requirements (preferred)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active applicable state class driver's license
• Construction knowledge and background preferred
• Own tools applicable to the position
• Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand and power tools, schematics, and diagrams

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, stand, stoop, and bend freely
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times

Pay

• Competitive compensation

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Offers overtime pay after working 40 hours
• Subject to on-call scheduling with additional compensation provided
