Small Engine Mechanic- Salina

About the role

The primary role of the Small Engine Mechanic is to process all work orders for customer repairs, as well as servicing/repairing their equipment. The range of equipment includes Stihl power equipment, primarily 2-cycle handheld units.

Responsibilities

• Must have knowledge of 2-cycle small engines
• Basic computer skills to access information online
• Provide high-quality repair services on all work orders
• Ensure the safe use of equipment & tools
• Responsible for completing all warranty paperwork in a timely manner
• Responsible for communicating special order parts for all work orders
• Responsible for completing service work in a timely manner
• Provide a safe environment by keeping work areas clean & organized
• Possess strong communication skills as customer interaction may be frequent
• May be required to cross-train and perform other duties
• Ability to participate in the equipment sales process is highly desired

Qualifications

• Applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability and knowledge required for this position, including having a minimum of three years of related professional experience
• The candidate shall also possess good customer communication skills
• Stihl certification is preferred but will train as necessary
• Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time
• Able to walk, reach, climb ladders, and bend to perform job duties
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
