POSITION SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Inspects, diagnoses, and repairs the company's small engine vehicles and equipment.
- Examines incoming equipment and oversees diagnostic tests to determine potential functionality problems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or any combination of education and professional experience that would meet the responsibilities listed above.
- Two years of experience in a similar role and trade certification is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of internal combustion engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical one-line diagrams with an ability to read and understand their diagrams.
- Capable of taking direction and working in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a desire to problem solve.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily a mechanic shop environment.
ADA PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Under 1/3 of your time will be spent walking, sitting, tasting or smelling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Up to 2/3 of your time will be spent standing, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Over 2/3 of your time will be spent using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, and talking or hearing.
- Mechanic shop environment that requires extensive use of hand and power tools.
