Small Engine Mechanic

About the role

Responsible for maintaining and repairing small engines used in landscaping equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair various types of small engines including lawn mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.
• Diagnose and resolve engine issues through inspection and troubleshooting.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and spark plug adjustments.
• Work closely with other landscaping staff to ensure equipment is ready for use.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working with small engines.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of engine components and operation.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems.

Skills

• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with basic diagnostic tools.
• Good physical fitness for manual labor.
