About the role
The Small Business Relationship Manager NMLS is responsible for delivering excellent customer service in alignment with U.S. Bank Core Values while providing comprehensive financial solutions to complex small business clients with annual revenues generally between $500K and $2.5 million, typically not exceeding $5 million.
Responsibilities
- Possess expert-level consultative selling, financial analysis, and relationship management skills.
- Understand advanced business acumen, underwriting expertise, and product knowledge to deliver sophisticated client solutions.
- Have a strong understanding of banking operations, sales, new business development, customer service and relations, and community relations.
- Comply with applicable lending policies, credit structures, products, services, and regulatory requirements.
- Build relationships in the community, engage with local organizations, and identify business development opportunities that increase visibility and support community impact.
Requirements
- NMLS registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including ongoing compliance with all legal and regulatory registration requirements.
- Compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security, suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Participation in required corporate and business line training in these areas, following account opening procedures, and understanding internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes as required for the position.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days.

This role requires National Mortgage Licensing Service (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z, including ongoing compliance with all legal and regulatory registration requirements, such as maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record.
