Small Animal Student Aide (ANML TCHN VMTH)

We are looking for a Small Animal Student Aide to work alongside our world leading emergency and critical care faculty clinicians and technicians, helping them teach the next generation of veterinarians while also serving the animals and pet owners of our community.
Responsibilities
- Under supervision of the Supervisor of Small Animal Student Aide, Central Aide and Central Receiving, provide veterinary technical support to disabled veterinary students and patient transportation for receiving services in the small animal.
- Under supervision of the Service supervisor, assist Veterinary Students, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants and Veterinarians with patient handling and prescribed medical treatments, including but not limited to patient transportation and restraint.
- Clean, disinfect, sanitize and stock assigned areas according to established protocols.
- Maintain inventory and equipment, and perform hospitalization and discharge procedures according to hospital protocols.
Qualifications
- No minimum license requirement.
- No minimum education requirement.
- Experience using safe animal handling and restraint techniques for a wide variety of small animal patients.
- Experience assisting for diagnostic sampling.
- Experience with small animal husbandry.
- Knowledge of using and working with industrial cleaning supplies.
- Interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people, including veterinary students, clients, clinicians, and staff.

Pay
Salary or Pay Range: $25.78/hr. - $30.35/hr.
Salary Frequency: Bi-weekly
Salary Grade: STEPSUC
Schedule
Variable schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
