About the role

The Handyman completes assigned general maintenance and carpentry tasks in support of the Growing Farm operations and B&G priorities. Work is performed both outdoors and indoors, including mushroom houses and mushroom beds, and in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic carpentry and maintenance tasks to ensure the continued safe functioning of the farms and other facilities.
• Perform basic plumbing tasks to keep farm, office, and human‑use fixtures operating effectively.
• Conduct basic facility inspections and submit reports to the B&G Manager.
• Ensure effective operation of water systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge in all phases of carpentry (required); plumbing knowledge is a plus.
• General handyman background (required).
• Valid driver’s license (required) with a clear driving record.
