About the role

We are seeking a Handy Man to join our team at Bay Towers Apartments in Rocky Park, NY. This role is essential to maintaining the quality and comfort of our residential housing community, ensuring resident satisfaction through prompt and professional service.

Responsibilities

• Effectively handle service requests, correcting issues within 24 hours when possible (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, sheet rocking, plastering, painting, carpentry, flooring, and locks).
• Ensure all make-ready repairs in vacant units are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to provide 24-hour emergency maintenance service and response.
• Maintain the curb appeal of the community by picking up grounds, removing snow and debris, working on landscaping, and addressing common area needs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, sheet rocking, plastering, painting, carpentry, flooring, and locks.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to develop a rapport with residents and community staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
