SM-3 IB - Senior Program Cost Controls Analyst (Hybrid)

About the role

The Senior Program Cost Controls Analyst will provide critical financial and program control support to the SM‑3 IB FY26–32 Production award, a high-tempo munitions acceleration program. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate cost, schedule, and financial data across both recurring production efforts and key non-recurring initiatives, including obsolescence mitigation and facility capacity expansion.

Responsibilities

• Drive development of Estimates at Completion (EACs) and monthly Latest Revised Estimates (LREs), providing clear financial insight to program leadership.
• Report Earned Value (EV) metrics and perform detailed analysis against budget baseline, schedule, and EAC positions.
• Support core cost, schedule, and financial reporting activities including funding analysis, tracking, forecasting, and variance reporting.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses to ensure accurate reporting and early identification of risks or issues.
• Partner with Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other functional teams to support program execution and resolve cost or schedule concerns.
• Maintain accurate program financial baselines and support monthly reviews and planning activities.

Qualifications

• You Must Have:
  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or
  • An Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Experience in Program Controls, including knowledge of Earned Value Management fundamentals.
• Working experience in a finance role.
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Operating Systems and all Microsoft Office tools, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
• We Prefer:
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles, metrics, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex cost and schedule data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, data modeling, and visualization tools.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams such as Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Experience supporting production programs, non-recurring efforts, or fast-paced execution environments.
  • Familiarity with cost management tools such as SAP or similar systems.
