SLPA - Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Implement programs or activities as directed by the supervising SLP
  • Assist SLP with screenings, assessments and treatment of patients
  • Complete documentation
  • Communicate with patients, patients’ families and physicians and staff
  • Assist in the general operation of the department
  • Aid in the development of programs

Requirements

  • 100% school-based position
  • Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • Target start date July 27, 2026
  • School experience preferred, new graduates welcome

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required

Skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of speech-language pathology principles and practices
