About the Role

We are seeking dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support elementary-aged students in Simi Valley, CA. These opportunities offer the chance to work with manageable caseloads, collaborate with school teams, and make a meaningful impact on students' communication development and overall academic success. Current openings include one school-year position and one maternity leave coverage role. Caseloads range from approximately 20 to 30 students, allowing clinicians to focus on delivering quality services and individualized support.

Responsibilities

  • Assess students' communication skills, including articulation, fluency, voice, and receptive/expressive language.
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services in accordance with IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and student support planning.
  • Support students using communication technologies and augmentative communication devices when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, treatment plans, and required records.
  • Participate in professional development, team meetings, and ongoing training.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and professional standards of practice.

Requirements

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of assignment.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state or contract.
  • Certificate of Clearance required.
  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, if applicable.
  • Current health certificate, if required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Adherence to all relevant professional standards of practice.

Assignment Details

  • Setting: School-Based Speech-Language Pathology
  • Student Population: Elementary School
  • Caseload: Approximately 20-30 students (average around 25)
  • Schedule: 35 hours per week
  • Medical Support Level: Level 1
  • Behavioral Support Level: High
  • Interview Required: Yes

Pay

Up to $53/hour for travel candidates. Eligible travelers may receive:

  • $1,337/week Housing Stipend
  • $602/week Meals & Incidentals Stipend
  • Estimated Weekly Package: Up to $3,926.50
