Job Description

A Slitter Mechanic is responsible for safely slitting metal, repairing breakdowns and maintaining our Slitter lines. Troubleshooting problems, performing preventative maintenance, and conducting quality checks while being involved in continuous improvement initiatives.

• Possesses mechanical aptitude
• Able to read, write, and speak clearly for necessary daily documentation & communication
• Available to work any shift, including weekends
• Able to stand for long periods of time in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment
• Wears required PPE and follows all safety rules
• Possesses or obtains own tools required for job

Qualifications

• Prefer 3-5 years working on close tolerance manufacturing equipment
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

Skills

• Quality checks according to set standards
• Change machinery / set up machines
• Makes adjustments to machinery as needed
• Removes machine parts / tooling for repair
• High attention to detail
