Sleep Technologist
About the Role
Pivotal Health is seeking an experienced RPSGT to work in our Wilmington, NC sleep lab at Sleep Care of Wilmington (Novant Health). The position will provide sleep services on an as-needed basis to facilitate MLSTs. Competitive hourly rates are available, depending on experience. Additional pay per shift is offered for attending and scoring productivity.
Pivotal Health is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy, partnering with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive, fully-integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care management of patients with sleep disorders.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate tests and collect data.
- Prepare equipment, record activities, and analyze results.
- Follow proper polysomnographic procedures, including the use of electrodes, sensors, calibration of equipment, and fitting of airway pressure masks.
- Perform analysis (scoring) of clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and tabulate final data for further review.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and laws concerning safety control.
Requirements
- High School diploma or higher education level.
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program.
- Certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and hold an NC Medical Board License.
- Certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS) and/or CPR.
- Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required.
