Sleep Technologist

Pivotal Health is seeking an experienced RPSGT or RT to work at Lewi-Gale in Salem, VA. This full-time position provides sleep services from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. A sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 is available.

Pivotal Health is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy, partnering with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive, fully integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care management of sleep disorders.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate tests and collect data
• Prepare equipment, record activities, and analyze results
• Follow proper polysomnographic procedures, including the use of electrodes, sensors, calibration of equipment, and fitting of airway pressure masks
• Analyze (score) clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and tabulate final data for further review
• Ensure compliance with regulations and laws concerning safety control

Requirements

• Virginia Department of Health Professions State License
• Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program
• Certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RT)
• Current BCLS certification
• Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must use hands to operate office equipment
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Pay

Competitive hourly rates available, depending on experience and patient ratio.
