Sleep Technologist

Pivotal Health, formerly known as MedBridge Healthcare, is seeking experienced RPSGTs or RRTs to work at Bayfront Hospital Sleep Center, St. Petersburg, FL. This position provides sleep services on a rotating schedule of 3 nights one week and 4 nights the next, from 8pm-7am. Competitive hourly rates are available, depending on experience and patient ratio.

Pivotal Health is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy, partnering with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive, fully-integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care management of patients with sleep disorders.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating tests and collecting data
• Preparing equipment, recording activities, and analyzing results
• Following proper polysomnographic procedures including the use of electrodes, sensors, calibration of equipment, and fitting of airway pressure masks
• Analysis (scoring) of clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and tabulation of final data to be submitted for further review
• Compliance with regulations and laws concerning safety control

Requirements

• High School diploma or higher education level
• Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program
• Certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or certified as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current BCLS certification
• Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• Required to use hands to operate office equipment
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
