Responsibilities
- Facilitating tests and collecting data
- Preparing equipment, recording activities, and analyzing results
- Following proper polysomnographic procedures including the use of electrodes, sensors, calibration of equipment, and fitting of airway pressure masks
- Analyzing (scoring) of clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and tabulating final data to be submitted for further review
- Required compliance with regulations and laws concerning safety control
Job Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program preferred
- Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist ("RPSGT") and/or Respiratory Therapist license(s) and MD State License required
- Current BCLS certification
Physical Demands of the Job
- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit
- The employee is required to talk and hear
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Pay and Benefits
- Pay starts at $40 per hour and up, DOE
