Sleep Technician RCP

About the role

A Sleep Disorders Lab Technician performs routine polysomnographic testing for the purpose of diagnosis and therapeutic analysis of sleep disorders under the supervision of the Sleep Lab Manager.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment, instruct and monitor patients, administer oxygen, CPAP and ventilatory assist devices in accordance with established protocols.
• Calibrate, maintain, and clean all monitoring and recording equipment.
• Recognize sleep pathology when it occurs, make notation on records, and respond with appropriate interventions to ensure patient safety.
• Order and stock supplies for the sleep lab.

Requirements

• High School or GED.
• RPSGT registry required.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• BLS certification.
• Successful completion of a polysomnography program or credentialed by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists.
• Successful completion of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine Approved A-STEP Program.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00 per hour.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is PRN (as needed).
