Responsibilities
- Performs and scores sleep studies under the direct supervision of a credentialed sleep technologist.
- Makes special preparation for unique or challenging patients.
- Troubleshoots equipment and sensor problems to ensure a high-quality sleep study.
- Obtains the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential within an agreed-upon time period once eligible.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Completion of high school or equivalent at minimum, Associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum Work Experience: 6 months experience performing sleep studies preferred.
- Required Skills: BLS required although it may be attained after hire. Good computer skills – Microsoft Office products and sleep acquisition systems. Knowledgeable in the use and theory of sleep testing equipment including troubleshooting. Personable and able to work well with patients, staff, leadership, and providers. Knowledge of sleep disorders and treatments.
