Skin Fabrication Process Mechanic

Position Responsibilities

The Company will provide appropriate job training to enable employees to perform all necessary job functions following: developing new and improved methods of production, multi-tasking and multi-machine operation. Use hand equipment (e.g hand tools, power tools, air tools and computers) needed to complete/process work assignments.

Perform any pickup, rework and incorporation of changes to the product as required.

Work from prints, sketches, specification and written/verbal information.

Maintain certifications, qualification, licenses or permits as required to perform work.

Utilize precision measuring equipment (calipers, scales, etc) to perform self-inspection of in-process and finished work.

Routinely move product within manufacturing the immediate manufacturing work area and on occasion, move product to the next operation within a building.

Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training and assisting team members of the same or lower classification.

Ability to be cross-trained to inspect product and become SIA qualified.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to identify material defects.

Experience with hand tools and power tools.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Ability to be respirator certified.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand for 7+ hours per day.

Pay & Benefits

• Pay: $21.39/hour, with potential to earn up to $35.50/hour in accordance with the terms of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
