Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Present information using a variety of formats, techniques, and resources (i.e., role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures).
- Develop and deliver training programs to help participants maintain and improve individual job skills and performance.
- Work closely with management to create and enhance the on-the-job training activities.
- Cook up instructional materials for training and utilize the agency’s learning and management system to deliver training and provide content feedback to the Learning and Development Supervisor.
- Leverage the agency’s learning library to deliver learning and ensure accurate content.
- Develop and administer ongoing training to existing team members.
- Actively seek current training methods and best practices to facilitate the training of participants.
- Communicate with leadership and management teams to proactively identify topics to be addressed or areas that require additional instruction.
- Analyze metrics to gauge participant and employee performance once out of training.
- Facilitates direct instruction for participants to gain the soft skills needed to obtain and retain a job.
- Serves as the primary instructor for all training, including work evaluation, work adjustment, and community work adjustment.
- Instructs at different functioning levels to accommodate lessons to serve the population's needs in training.
- Provides feedback to specified team members regarding individual performances.
- Conducts readiness workshops and provides one on one coaching to participants and enrolled job seekers.
- Maintains detailed case records according to funder and agency requirements.
- Ensures participant information is entered into the appropriate form, database, or report promptly and maintains confidentiality requirements.
- Complies with the agency’s policy and procedures and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities standards.
- Complies with referral sources requirements (APD, Medwaiver, Qlarant, DVR, etc.).
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience in adult education, training, and development.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
