Responsibilities
- Develops and conducts training programs, orientation, and continuing education for new and current employees specific to a department or function.
- Affirms training needs of staff and monitors the effectiveness of the training program.
- Provides orientation for all newly hired employees.
- Creates or obtains training and orientation materials.
- Identifies and assesses employee skill level and training needs.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of department education and training programs.
- Maintains documentation of training, education, and new employee orientation.
- Develops and implements monthly training schedule.
- Supervises and audits employees daily work.
Requirements
- Six years of progressively more responsible experience in a related area, including one year as a trainer, or equivalency.
- Applicable supervisory training or leadership experience (preferred).
- Emphasis on experience with safety training (preferred).
Qualifications
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
- Demonstrated computer, organization, human relation, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to accurately evaluate employee needs to develop training programs and education materials that are effective and address different skill levels.
