About the role

The Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD) has been a cornerstone of the Kansas City community for over 50 years, providing compassionate, high-quality support services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Our team is driven by a shared belief that every person deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, purpose, and connection.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in their homes and community with acquiring, building, and maintaining daily living skills.
• Develop meaningful, individualized implementation strategies based on each person's Person-Centered Plan.
• Provide transportation as needed to support community networking goals.
• Document progress in Therap within 24 hours of each activity record completion.
• Ensure services align with personal outcomes in each individual's support plan.
• Plan cost-effective travel routes and manage caseload efficiently.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and behavioral crisis intervention as needed.
• Complete all required training and certifications before expiration.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and proof of insurance.
• At least 18 years old and able to pass background and registry screening.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with community-based services for individuals with IDD.
• At least one year of experience supporting community integration for individuals with disabilities.

Pay

$19.00/hour + mileage reimbursement

Hours vary based on individuals' availability and preferences

Individuals' homes and community settings across the Kansas City metro

Travel

Regular travel throughout the metro area
