About The Role

Empower Potential. Inspire Success. Become a Skills Practitioner. EKC Group are currently seeking a Skills Practitioner who is passionate about learning to work at our newly extended community feeling Sheppey college, to join the Technical Industries team. As a Skills Practitioner you’ll play an important part in supporting both staff and students, helping to deliver high-quality, hands-on learning experiences. You’ll liaise with colleagues and external partners, support learners to reach their goals, and ensure workshops are safe, well-organized, and fully equipped.

Order, Organise, and Issue Stock and Supplies

Maintain a well-organized inventory system to ensure stock and supplies are available and in good condition. Order necessary materials and equipment to keep sessions running smoothly.

Assist in Workshop Preparation

Support in preparing workshops by ensuring all necessary resources are ready and accessible. Collaborate with colleagues to organize and prepare materials for practical sessions.

Monitor and Promote Excellent Health & Safety Practices

Maintain a safe working environment by monitoring and promoting excellent health and safety practices within workshop sessions. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Provide Constructive Feedback and Support

Offer constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their goals. Provide guidance and encouragement to enhance their learning experience and skill development.

About You

We're looking for someone who enjoys supporting others to develop practical skills and confidence, while contributing to outstanding teaching and learning. You should be organized, hands-on, and positive about helping others. A Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations and some industry experience in the Electrical sector are preferred. If you are confident to support and guide learners through practical tasks, we'd love to hear from you.
