About the role

Sofive, the home of 5‑a‑side soccer, is a growing startup developing state‑of‑the‑art soccer centers with 22 sites and more in the pipeline. They value integrity, reliability, professionalism, and a passion for soccer. The Skills Institute Coach position is based at the Sofive Rockville location.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging soccer training sessions for kids ages 5 to 12
• Use the proven Skills Institute curriculum to teach core technical skills like dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork
• Create a positive, encouraging, and challenging environment where players can grow
• Foster character development by emphasizing teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship
• Build meaningful relationships with players and families
• Represent the Sofive, Skills Institute, and Lil’ Kickers brands with enthusiasm
• Support marketing efforts and assist with special events when needed

Requirements

• Positive attitude and a big smile
• Passion for youth development and a love of soccer
• Willingness to learn and grow as a coach
• Commitment to weekly shifts for the duration of each season
• Ability to work with kids ages 5 to 12 and keep them engaged
• Background check required
• Limited coaching experience required, but a love of the game and some playing experience helps

Pay

$20 per hour

Schedule

Weekend availability is required; additional opportunities are available on weekday afternoons and evenings. Shifts are consistent throughout a 13‑week season.
