About the role
The Skilled Tradesperson performs work in the major technical trades. This position will perform physical labor tasks for construction projects, including ground-up, remodels, retrofits, and repairs to interior and exterior structures. Specific on-site tasks are related to the needs and duties of each project.
Responsibilities
- Performs technical tasks in trades, including plumbing, electrical, concrete, flooring, roofing, painting, framing, drywall, and finishing skills for doors, windows, and cabinetry.
- Install fixtures including windows, roofing, floorings, trim, tile, ceiling tile, hardware, heating, and ventilation.
- Performs framing tasks including wood/metal, drywall, fiberglass reinforced plastic, and T-Bar.
- Operates and maintains tools and equipment, including (but not limited to): drills, saws, nail guns, hammers, and shovels.
- Executes tasks involving physical labor, as needed.
- Travels to different worksites to complete required tasks and projects.
- Projects may require a response to 24/7 emergency coverage.
- Maintains a clean job site to eliminate possible hazards.
- Works safely, adhering to all aspects of our Health, Safety, and Environmental Program for self-protection and protection of co-workers, sub-contractors, the public, and customer representatives.
- Organizes building material; loads and unloads trucks.
- May be responsible for assisting other workers on construction and preconstruction assignments.
- Reads instructions, specifications, and plans to determine work activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge and general trade experience preferred in the major trades: plumbing, electrical, concrete, flooring, roofing, painting, framing, drywall, and finishing skills for doors, windows, and cabinetry.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possesses tools required to perform job functions.
- Organized and dependable team player with solid communication skills.
- Professional and results-driven.
- Friendly and positive attitude towards change.
- Able to identify and resolve issues by removing barriers and know-how to make things happen.
- Values diversity of ideas, opinions, and people.
- Must possess (or obtain) an appropriate state driver license before employment, a clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Pay
Competitive salary/hourly range $24.00 to $35.00 per hour - while considering the candidate’s experience.
Schedule
Project-based work schedule, with potential for 24/7 emergency coverage.
