About the role

The Doors Technician is responsible for the installation, service, repair, and preventative maintenance of commercial pedestrian doors, automatic entrances, and related hardware. This role ensures that entrances operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with applicable standards while providing excellent service to customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, and maintain commercial pedestrian doors, automatic doors, frames, and hardware
• Perform planned and preventative maintenance to ensure proper operation
• Conduct routine safety inspections and confirm compliance with national safety standards
• Diagnose mechanical issues and perform adjustments, repairs, or replacements as needed
• Read and interpret door schedules, installation instructions, and diagrams
• Operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other equipment safely and effectively
• Follow all safety procedures, job site rules, and company policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent required
• Trade school or relevant trade experience is necessary
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, and installation specifications
• Enjoy working with customers and communicating clearly and professionally to provide great service
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required
• Ability to travel between job sites, with some overnights and on-call weekends
• Pass a Background Check and Drug Screen
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications
