Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with venue personnel, subcontractors, vendors to identify project specifications, order materials, equipment and supplies.
- Guide other maintenance workers in performing skilled crafts to provide support in developing their knowledge of skills with trade.
- Inspect facility, systems and their components for ensuring safety and cleanliness, and identifying necessary repairs.
- Frequently install a variety of items and/or system components of a complex nature (e.g., cabinetry, walls, doors, and hardware, office equipment, phone/data cables).
- Maintain tools and equipment for ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
- Perform a variety of facility and equipment repair and maintenance activities in multiple venues within areas of trade expertise (e.g., electrical, carpentry, plumbing, concrete, drywall, painting).
- Schedule equipment and supplies in collaboration with outside vendors for maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
Qualifications
- SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Adhering to safety practices; knowledge of many different trades; operating equipment and tools used in specific trade work; leading and guiding other skilled maintenance workers; planning and managing projects.
- ABILITY: Working with a diversity of individuals and/or groups, problem solving to identify issues and create a plan of action; working under limited supervision; having a valid driver’s license.
