Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver engaging daily lesson plans based on the approved curriculum and learning expectations.
- Contextualize math instruction so students can apply concepts to electrical, mechanical, and other skilled trades settings.
- Collaborate with the trades instructor to ensure math instruction supports technical training objectives and reflects an Integrated Education and Training (IET) approach.
- Use Canvas and other instructional technologies to deliver course content, communicate with students, and support online learning.
- Provide clear, professional, and timely communication with students, faculty, and staff.
- Support adult learners with varying academic skill levels, learning needs, and career goals.
- Submit grades, attendance records, reports, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least one year of experience teaching math.
- Availability to teach during daytime hours.
- Experience using computers, instructional technology, and/or a learning management system to deliver online instruction.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work patiently and effectively with students of varying skill levels.
