Responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of SNF Payers, including Medicare, Managed Care, Private Insurance, Long-Term Care Insurance, and Medi-Cal Managed Care.
- Expertise in Medicare Billing Rules, UB04 coding, and billing/collection processes.
- Proficient in navigating Medicare, Insurance, and Managed Care portals.
- Deep understanding of Managed Care billing rules for both Medicare Advantage and Medi-Cal, including contract language and plan billing expectations.
- Experience with Appeals, PDRs, and effective communication with plans.
- Management of AR Aging Reports and follow-up for outstanding claims.
- Conduct account audits and reviews to ensure billing accuracy.
- Cash Posting and reconciliation, including ERA processing.
- Experience with SNF Business Office functions such as census, cash deposits, insurance verifications, and month-end close.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of SNF Billing and Business Office experience in a high-volume setting.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Excel & Word.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to document and follow up on accounts with precision.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle challenging assignments with minimal supervision.
