- Wound and Skin Care
- Meditation Management and Documentation to include communication with pharmacists
- Oversee the services of Direct Care Staff and Certified Nursing Assistants
- Administering tube feeding
- Nursing Care to include ADLs, assessments, care and vital signs
- Provide transportation; Schedule and attend all appointments to include direct communication w/ physicians
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment
- Maintain neat and appropriate documentation of care rendered to clients
- Perform physical activities that may require climbing, lifting, walking, balancing, stooping, and handling of materials
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintain work operations by following policies and procedures.
- Protects organization's value by keeping patient and company information confidential.
- Attend mandatory in-services, as deemed necessary by the facility
- Complete required annual continuing education or in-services to maintain certification
- Serves and protects the organization by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining licensure.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Promote the highest degree of quality care and services to our clients in accordance to the DBHDD and company policies
Qualifications
- Must be from an accredited nursing program
- GA Licensed LPN/RN
- Knowledge of relevant nursing care
- Friendly and professional bedside manner
- Maintains current First Aide & CPR certification
- Multi-tasking skills
- Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills
- Understands legal implications of patient care
- (Preferred) Minimum of six (6) months experience working in assisted living, home health, independent living, hospital or long-term care environment and desire to serve and care for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- You must be able to make choices, decisions and act in the resident's best interest, have the ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations and possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding
