Skilled Mechanic - (2nd Shift) - Bonus Opportunity ($6,000)

About the role

As an Experienced Auto Technician you will work in our high‑tech Inspection Centers, helping to inspect, perfect, and photograph low‑mileage, late‑model vehicles before they reach the Carvana website, ensuring we never sell a car we wouldn’t sell to our own mom.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of automotive repairs—from light maintenance to heavy engine work—and diagnostics on vehicles.
• Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, ranging from timing belts and suspension systems to heavy engine work.
• Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles.
• Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles, as well as vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools – must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold).
• Use of safety equipment that may include face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
