Skilled Maintenance Tech

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Barnwell is located in Valatie, NY (25 minutes from Albany, NY). This is a full-time position.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Tech with general maintenance knowledge, including electrical and plumbing experience, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, including painting resident rooms and other areas.
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance as needed.
• Move materials and equipment between rooms and different areas of the facility.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues as needed.
• Work under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• General maintenance knowledge, including experience with plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 to 100 lbs.
• Must be available to work one weekend per month.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
• Must meet the requirements of the Department of Health.
• Willingness to respond to emergency calls as required.
