Quanex is looking for a Skilled Machine Operator II to join our team in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

About the role

In this role, you will set-up, operate, and verify the quality of work on assigned machines to consistently meet production standards and qualifications. These machines include moulders, copes, beam saws, Onsrud, CNC, or tenoners. The level for each machine operator is determined by management based on the ability to train others and the number of machines the operator can run while meeting production standards and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures, rules, and guidelines.
  • Monitor product to ensure that quality standards are being met.
  • Set-up, operate, and verify work on assigned machines.
  • Accurately, thoroughly, and legibly complete all documentation related to the position.
  • Train others as requested.
  • Promote teamwork by cooperating and supporting co-workers.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent education, required.
  • 6 months or more of related machine operating experience, preferred.
  • Ability to read prints and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to perform detailed work that requires high levels of concentration.
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mentality.

Pay

Salary: $22.96–$27.44 per hour (rate includes 12% shift differential), pay based on experience. New Hire Bonus: $1,000, paid in increments at 30 days, 60 days, and 6 months of employment.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday, 4:30 pm – 2:00 am; Friday, 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm. Overtime schedule is Monday – Thursday, 4:30 pm – 5:00 am; Friday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm, with potential Saturdays.
