Skilled Equipment Maintenance Group Leader

We are seeking a Group Leader to support production needs by developing team members and leaders, leading skill enhancement activities, coordinating breakdown investigations, and monitoring key performance indicators.
About the Role
The Group Leader will manage a group of hourly team leaders and team members, ensuring a safe operating environment. They will provide training and developmental opportunities, foster a respect for people environment, and utilize strong communication skills to bridge the gap between leadership and the production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a group of hourly team leaders and team members, providing direct communication and leadership to ensure a safe operating environment.
- Demonstrate leadership skills to achieve/exceed all safety, quality, cost, and team member development objectives.
- Provide/coordinate training and developmental opportunities, fostering a respect for people environment.
- Utilize strong communication skills as the primary communication link between leadership and the production team.
- Collaborate with other areas and departments within Toyota, giving regular informal and formal updates to Toyota senior leadership.
- Daily Management of an assigned area, including safety, quality, productivity, cost, and team member development.
- Utilize problem solving skills to visualize and eliminate process bottlenecks, improve equipment/tooling, and team member ergonomics.
- Engage your team in systematic problem-solving activity and Quality Circles to resolve issues and develop your team’s capabilities.
- Maintain area budget, including operating supplies, raw materials, staffing - continuously looking for improvement opportunities.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or technical discipline, or equivalent experience (10 years) in industrial equipment maintenance/engineering in a manufacturing environment.
- Leadership/supervisory experience (3+ years) in a skilled maintenance, engineering, manufacturing or a supply chain role in a lean manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in project management.

Pay & Schedule
The shift for this position will be one of the PM shifts listed below:
- Monday - Thursday (4 days X 10 hours): 8 pm to 6:30 am
- Friday - Sunday (3 days X 12 hours): 6 pm to 6:30 am
