Skilled Electrician
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is seeking a Skilled Electrician to join the Fibrebond team in Minden, LA.

Schedule
- Average of 54 hours per week (including overtime) between 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- Overtime every other Saturday from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
Pay
Hourly range: $20.90 – $28.00 per hour. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations. Relocation assistance is available for candidates living more than 50 miles from the Minden, LA site.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints to accurately install all required electrical components.
- Bend and install complex conduit configurations.
- Pull and terminate wire and large power cable.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Install both standard and complex conduit and electrical components.
- Lead crews on job sites.
- Pull wire and/or cable for smaller gauge electrical circuits, low voltage alarms and signals, and high-power large-gauge circuits through conduit and wireway.
- Anchor and secure all equipment, ensuring proper grounding.
- Properly buss and torque gear.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete all tasks.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience.
- Experience bending conduit.
- Experience reading blueprints and using hand and power tools.
- Strong, verifiable track record of attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of trade secrets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical skills certification.
- Journeyman-like experience.
- NEC knowledge and experience.
- Experience leading crews.
Skills
- Basic shop math skills and ability to read and use a tape measure.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to wear PPE such as protective eyewear, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work from a ladder, including ascending and descending.
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, crouch, and use manual dexterity for precise movements with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
