Qualifications

For a Skilled Laborer: One year of construction experience, skills in using hand and power tools, ability to demonstrate safe lifting and moving of tools and materials, works safely and comfortably on ladders and roofs, English Speaker: B1-C2 (Intermediate to Advanced) proficiency, valid driver’s license, and ability to operate manual transmissions and back up utility trailers.

For a Skilled Carpenter: A strong work ethic and dependability, graduation from High School or equivalent, 10+ years of experience in construction, knowledge of current practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in the carpentry trade and related building trades, strong plan reading and layout skills, ability to safely lift and carry heavy tools and materials, comfort and agility in working on ladders and roofs, and ability to make accurate estimates of materials needed.

Responsibilities

For a Skilled Laborer: Assist with all areas of construction projects, including utilizing hand and power tools to repair, install, or erect structures and fixtures, constructing building frameworks, measuring and cutting materials, joining materials with nails, screws, or adhesives, establishment of reference points and lines, keeping job sites clean, gathering materials, and other related tasks as needed.

For a Skilled Carpenter: Serves as lead over a small group of workers and performs the more complex rough and finish carpentry work related to the construction, maintenance, alteration and repair of building components and structures, determines most efficient work procedures and techniques for assigned staff to ensure timely completion of projects, makes sure that safety standards and procedures are followed, provides supervisor with updates on project status, and performs on-site duties such as well framing, installation of locks and other hardware, installation of interior & exterior doors, installation of interior & exterior trim work, and installation of cabinets & vanities.
