SkillBridge Intern - Flight Line Mechanic
Minimum Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible for the DOD SkillBridge Program.
- Must meet job Education and Experience requirements.
Preferred
- At least 90 days within the DOD SkillBridge Program with a maximum of 180 days.
- Willing to work assigned shift.
- Basic computer skills.
- Airframe & Powerplant (A & P) certificate, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an aircraft mechanic.
- Proficient with using hand tools and precision equipment.
- Capable of reading and interpreting approved aircraft diagrams, charts, schematics and maintenance procedures.
- Able to work on maintenance stands, lifts and ladders, work in confined spaces in unusual positions.
- Able to lift minimum 50lbs and able to enter and exit the aircraft using steps and/or stairs.
- Not be allergic to jet fuel, oils, hydraulic fluids or cleaning solvents.
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Aircraft experience, preferably on Falcon aircraft.
- Experience in a production atmosphere.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS (Post SkillBridge)
This opportunity is part of the DoD SkillBridge program and is unpaid during the SkillBridge training period. However, if you are offered a position following your SkillBridge internship, the salary you can expect typically falls between $24 and $40.11 per hour/per year. This post-SkillBridge position is eligible for overtime and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, shift differential, or relocation assistance. The final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to: years of relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
