SkillBridge Fellowship - Transitioning Military
Company Background
MTSI was founded in 1993 by two retired U.S. Air Force engineers and has grown into a 100 % employee‑owned company. Approximately 40 % of the workforce are veterans, reflecting the company’s long‑standing connection to the military and its appreciation for the experience, perspective, and mission‑focused commitment that transitioning service members bring.
SkillBridge Overview
MTSI proudly participates in the Department of War (DoW) SkillBridge Program, offering eligible transitioning service members the chance to gain civilian work experience and prepare for the next chapter of their careers while still completing military service. This posting represents ongoing interest in MTSI’s SkillBridge Program and is not tied to a specific opening; opportunities depend on eligibility, timing, location, MTSI’s hiring needs, and the availability of an appropriate training experience.
Pathways to Participate
- Hiring Our Heroes (HoH) Fellowships: Participate through scheduled HoH fellowship cohorts.
- Off‑Cycle Fellowships: Participate directly with MTSI outside of the HoH cohort schedule, providing greater flexibility for different military transition timelines.
How SkillBridge Works at MTSI
- Application: Submit an application describing your military experience, career interests, preferred location, transition timeline, and other relevant information.
- Alignment Review: MTSI’s Talent Acquisition team evaluates whether your background and timing align with potential opportunities.
- Training Opportunity Identification: If aligned, MTSI determines whether an appropriate team and approved training experience exist that support both your transition goals and potential future roles at MTSI.
- Transition Start: Upon selection and approval, you begin a fellowship that translates your military experience into a civilian environment while developing new skills, relationships, and experience.
