About the role

Global Medical Response (GMR) is proud to be an authorized provider of the DOD SkillBridge program, offering U.S. Military Service Members the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience in the medical response industry through training, internships and on-the-job (OJT) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and providing regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
  • Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
  • Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
  • Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
  • Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.

Requirements

  • Current FAA Airframe Mechanic certificate (or verified work history that meets minimum requirements to obtain written approval for Airframe testing from the FAA within 6 months of hire).
  • Current FAA Repairman's certificate (or verified work history that meets minimum requirements to obtain certificate within 6 months of hire).
  • Five (5) years field maintenance experience maintaining avionics systems in modern complex Fixed Wing and / or Rotorcraft operated under an air carrier (14 CFR Part 135) certificate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years field maintenance experience maintaining avionics systems in modern complex Fixed Wing and / or Rotorcraft operated under an air carrier (14 CFR Part 135).
  • Preferred qualifications include FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate, autopilot maintenance experience, avionics and electrical repair experience.

Although Successful Completion Of a Skillbridge Program Is a Not a Guarantee Of Future Employment With Any GMR Company, a Newly Hired GMR/Guardian Flight Aircraft Maintenance Technician Can Expect The Following Starting Salary: $65,239 - $94,567 (additional Geo Modifier as applicable)
