About the role
The Ski Rental Delivery Technician (aka “Ski Tech”) is responsible for providing excellent customer service to customers by delivering equipment, providing a personalized and custom fitting, offering support services, and picking up the guest’s equipment when they are done renting.

Responsibilities
- Deliver and fit customers with ski/snowboard equipment at customer’s lodging.
- Provide clear communication to guests about Black Tie services and equipment.
- Pack equipment for deliveries, load vans, and collect equipment from guests at the end of their stay.
- Perform slopeside equipment swap-outs (if necessary) and assist guests when needed.
- Inspect equipment upon return to determine tuning needs.
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on equipment.
- Conduct routine testing of equipment.
- Act as a respectful and professional representative of Black Tie within the community when on the roads and when interacting with hotel staff and local partners.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of vehicles and manage vehicle inventory.
- Proactively take ownership of situations while anticipating and responding to guest needs and requests.
- Communicate effectively with Manager on Duty and the Office throughout shifts to ensure both the Tech’s individual delivery line-up and collective team tasks are being accomplished.
- Actively demonstrate a clear focus on safety for yourself, your co-workers and our guests, whether working with equipment and vehicles, or double-checking guest ski/boot fittings.
Requirements
- Able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly for long periods of time (i.e. rental equipment).
- Must be able to stand and walk almost continually during your shift.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the winter season.
- Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, and a commitment to maintaining that during the winter season.
