Ski/Snowboard Instructor – Winter 24/25 Season

Key Responsibilities

• Teach skiing and/or snowboarding to groups and individuals, creating a safe and enjoyable learning experience through effective class handling and creative instruction
• Follow the Responsibility Code and prioritize guest safety on varied terrain in winter weather conditions
• Instruct students on how to load and unload lifts, providing physical assistance to children as needed
• Supervise children during class, as well as during lunch and snack times
• Promote teamwork and maintain a positive attitude, showing respect for all team members and staff
• Continuously improve teaching, technical, and skiing/snowboarding skills by participating in developmental training
• Follow and implement policies and procedures of Holiday Mountain
• Maintain punctuality and regular attendance
• Wear the designated uniform and a helmet
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced level of skiing/snowboarding ability (comfortable on blue slopes)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with diverse age groups and skill levels
• Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable teaching approach
• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Able to pass a background check
• Own and maintain up-to-date skiing/snowboarding equipment
• PSIA/AASI/USSS certification or equivalent experience is preferred but not required

Physical Demands

• Ability to ski/and or snowboard for up to 8 hours per day in inclement winter weather
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
