Ski Patroller | Full Time Seasonal

Responsibilities

• Full attendance at the Loon Mountain Ski Patrol Refresher is mandatory.
• Current medical certification is required (EMT or National Ski Patrol’s Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC)).
• Current BLS CPR certification is required.
• Expert skiing or riding skills with suitable gear for expert terrain and all-weather conditions.
• Some gear will be provided by Loon Mountain.
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of knots, systems and rope management skills.
• Compliance with all resort policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in a professional manner.
• Mental Skills: Basic math skills required.
• Physical Demands: The physical demands described here represent those necessary to perform the job’s essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be considered for individuals with disabilities. Duties regularly require advanced skiing or snowboarding skills, able to navigate all terrain and weather conditions. Frequent reaching, climbing, balancing, talking and hearing are necessary. Occasionally, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be required. Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving of more than 50 pounds is expected. Depth perception is required.
