Ski Patrol Trainee - Winter 26-27

About the role

Mammoth Mountain Ski Patrollers must be able to provide first aid in both clinical settings and on-slope environments. They must understand and implement mountain safety practices and be able to perform avalanche mitigation techniques based on their experience and skill level. Patrollers must possess the ability to work as part of a team, follow directions, and demonstrate rational decision-making and conservative risk management practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid in both clinical settings and on-slope environments.

• Work as part of a team, follow directions, and demonstrate rational decision-making and conservative risk management practices.
• Provide ski/snowboarding lessons discounts.
• Offer equipment rental discounts.
• Offer Friends and Family vouchers.
• Offer retail & food discounts.
• Participate in the Ski Patroller Training course.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain or currently possess one of the following first aid certifications: Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, Outdoor Emergency Care, or Wilderness First Responder (must meet minimum standards of the WMEC).
• Must have a current CPR/AED certification for the Professional Rescuer.

Qualifications

• Advanced to expert level alpine skiing ability required.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Not accepting H2B or J1 applicants.

Skills

• First Aid Certification (Emergency Medical Responder, Emergency Medical Technician, Outdoor Emergency Care, Wilderness First Responder).
• CPR/AED Certification.
• Alpine Skiing Ability (advanced to expert level).

Pay

$25.00 per hour.

Schedule

Starting pay: $25.00 per hour.
