Responsibilities
- Work with all operations departments to make sure lifts are all running safely and efficiently.
- Be familiar with the location of all ski lifts and travel routes on the mountain.
- Know how to operate the lift controls, run lift on auxiliary or evacuation diesels.
- Perform daily pre-operation and operational inspections of ski lifts for safe operation.
- Schedule and unscheduled maintenance procedures.
- Climb lift towers to inspect, diagnose, adjust, and repair or replace components at extreme heights in all weather conditions.
- Repair, remove and/or replace mechanical parts of lifts as necessary, both on hill and in repair shop.
- Maintain service records and documentation.
- Must have the ability to trouble shoot, diagnose, and repair or replace ski lift components.
- Must be able to competently and safely operate a snowmobile and ATV.
Requirements
- 2-3 years of lift maintenance experience.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of A.N.S.I. B77.1-2022.
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic system experience.
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to further develop skills, abilities and knowledge on their own.
- Be able to work flexible work schedules and long hours to complete emergency repairs.
- Must be willing to work at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
- Provide own set of basic hand and power tools.
- Must have a neat and clean appearance in compliance with company grooming standards.
- Must be capable of standing or walking for more than 50% if 10 hour shift.
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push, and pull 100lbs or more.
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull 50 lbs or more.
Preferred Skills/Certifications
- 2 year Trade School a plus.
- 3-4 years of mechanical experience.
- Level II magnetic particle NDT certified.
- Riggers/Signal Person Certification Card.
- OSHA 10 card.
- Fork Lift/Telehandler Certification.
- Electrical Experience.
- Welding Experience.
