Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors company, is a world-class environmental service organization and market leader in industrial hazardous waste management, parts-cleaning technology, and oil re-refining. We collect over 200 million gallons of used motor oil each year and re-refine more than 150 million gallons annually.
About the role
The Sales Representative will maintain existing accounts and perform business development within the assigned SKE territory, serving as the primary point of contact for customers interested in services/products such as oil collection/recycling, equipment cleaning, parts washers, and industrial waste removal.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Identify, prospect, and connect with customers interested in Safety-Kleen’s specific services/products (e.g., oil collection/recycling, industrial equipment cleaning, parts washers, industrial waste removal).
- Work with route drivers to convert new sales opportunities.
- Promote revenue and margin growth by selling products and services to clients in specific lines of business.
- Grow the current customer base with new lines of business and deliver effective contract and relationship management.
- Monitor progress in sales and P&L goals.
- Negotiate and draft contracts, scope, and quote projects.
- Interact with operations and customer service to deliver exceptional service to clients.
- Develop account plans and achieve monthly sales quotas/budgets.
- Prepare and deliver customer quotes, prospect, and convert leads to customers.
Requirements
- Reside within the identified branch location (Nashville, TN).
- Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
- Proven ability to develop a book of business.
- 3+ years of business-to-business sales experience preferred.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong time and territory management skills to focus on value-added sales activities.
- Ability to travel within the region.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge and current use of Salesforce is a plus.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to facilitate a service team approach to ensure customer satisfaction and follow-through.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to drive decision-making.
