Skate, Rattle & Roll Support Staff

Salary: $16.00 hourly

Description

Responsible for assisting the Dare Skate Supervisor with the operations and maintenance of the skating facility. Provides information to patrons concerning facility operations, programs, policies, and resources.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons by working admissions, skate rental, skate floor guard, concessions, and the DJ booth.
• Coordinate with Skate Supervisor for all necessary set up, including skate rental, admissions, concessions, skate floor, chairs, etc.
• Enforce rules and regulations pertaining to the use of the facility.
• Accurately document and report accidents, injuries, and incidents to the supervisor.
• Interact tactfully with patrons, including parents, security, and fellow staff members; solve routine on-site problems.
• Ensure the return of all equipment to storage and coordinate with staff to return the facility to proper state; complete facility checklists and maintenance requests.
• Assist children and adult patrons as needed.
• Facilitate games/contests as needed.
• Assist with set-up and breakdown of equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma preferred; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Active CPR, AED, and First Aid certification or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
• This job is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment checks, including criminal history and background checks.
• Requires working flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
• Must be available to work every Friday night from 5:30–11:30 pm, September through May.
• Willingness to work skating parties on weekends throughout the duration of the program.
• Ability to roller skate or willingness to learn for the benefit of this program.

Physical Demands

• Requires regular, and at times sustained, performance of heavier physical tasks such as walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, leaping, jumping down, standing in place, or continually walking.
• Lifting and carrying moderate to heavy items on a consistent basis.
