About the role

This position is a continuing, tenure track, 9-month appointment to start August 16, 2024. Tenure will be housed in the School of Anthropology, Political Science, and Sociology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research in historical archaeology
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in historical archaeology
• Participate in departmental and university service

Requirements

• A PhD in Historical Archaeology or a closely related field by August 16, 2024
• Strong record of scholarly achievement in historical archaeology
• Excellent teaching skills
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse academic community

Qualifications

• Experience with archaeological field methods and laboratory analysis
• Knowledge of historical periods relevant to archaeological research
• Interest in interdisciplinary approaches to historical archaeology

Skills
