SIU Field Investigator - National General

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SIU Field Investigator to join our team. This role covers Northern Louisiana and Mississippi, with a strong preference for candidates located near Monroe, LA. Ideal candidates reside in Monroe, Shreveport, LA, or Jackson, MS. The position focuses primarily on Auto Bodily Injury (BI) investigations and supports Homeowners claims, including weather-related losses such as roof, wind, and flood damage.

Responsibilities

• Enter SIU claim data into multiple systems
• Review investigations with fraud outcomes to validate whether denial is appropriate
• Update files with investigation outcomes; return files to MCO for further handling if no fraud or insufficient evidence is found
• Conduct complex online data application searches, research, and evaluation
• Perform site inspections at body shops, medical clinics, loss locations, etc.
• Investigate potentially fraudulent claims, including scene investigations and surveillance as needed
• Validate information obtained through investigation and follow up on all possible leads
• Summarize documents and enter into claim system notes, documenting evaluations and decision-making process
• Utilize analytic tools or SIU field intelligence to identify complex claims for investigation
• Research and respond to complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts, or issues

Requirements

• Several years of Special Investigations Unit (SIU) experience with an insurance carrier
• Strong foundation in claims handling
• Individuals holding an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments during employment
• Applicants with a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed by the licensing team

Pay

Base compensation offered for this role is:

• SIU Field Adjuster Cons II: $62,100 - $92,700
• SIU Field Adjuster Sr Cons I: $68,500 - $104,100

Total compensation includes base pay plus incentive pay (e.g., commission, bonus) if applicable. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
